The City is a Circle: Community Currents

February 11 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Join us for the fourth event in The City is a Circle, a series of free walks, talks, and urban adventures on the Atlanta BeltLine, running the second Sunday of each month through April 2024.

Feel the connection of Westside Park to its home in the historic Grove Park neighborhood through a mindful walk following the currents of Proctor Creek and utilizing the principles of geomancy, the ancient art of harmonizing Earth’s energy.

Discover how the energies of water and earth impact, create, and connect communities during this free walk led by Jennifer Ohme and curated by Art on the Atlanta BeltLine’s 2022-2023 Scholar-in-Residence, Rachel Parish.

Over the course of three hours, participants will learn more about the history of Proctor Creek and Grove Park, as well as the principles of geomancy, and will have self-exploration time to connect to the currents of water, earth, and community.

The walk will begin at the Birth of Atlanta pavilion at the Westside Reservoir Park off Johnson Road NW. All participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring water for the walk.
