Atlanta’s first public skatepark was greeted with great excitement, featuring a showcase from skateboard legend Tony Hawk, whose foundation contributed $25,000 towards the construction of the new facility. Located alongside the Eastside Trail, the park offers world-class skateboard amenities as well as a playground and multi-use athletic field.
Boarders of every level can challenge themselves in Atlanta’s first public skatepark. Designed with input from the local skateboard community, it has quickly become a popular destination.
You don’t need a skateboard to enjoy the multi-use athletic field and a dynamic playground that features fun for kids of every age. Have a picnic, find a new festival or try out a fitness class!
The Skatepark is adjacent to the Eastside Trail and is just down the trail from Historic Fourth Ward Park, which has tremendous features, amenities and recreational offerings of its own.
The park offers useful amenities, including: benches, public restrooms, nighttime lighting, trash/recycling cans and doggie waste bags.
