Historic Fourth Ward Park, named for the surrounding Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, is a galvanizing greenspace amidst the surrounding bustle of the city. Encompassing 17 acres, this spectacular park is packed with amenities for all to enjoy – all just a short walk down the hill from the popular Eastside Trail.
Kids will have a blast climbing, sliding and swinging, while adults take in the fun from a shade structure nearby.
Cool off in the splash pad (open 10am-8pm, May 1 thru Oct 1).
A Relay Bike Share station offers rental bikes that can whisk you around the park, onto the Eastside Trail and a quick bike ride to more greenspace.
The park has many useful amenities, including: benches, public restrooms, nighttime lighting, trash/recycling cans and doggie waste bags.
