Historic Fourth Ward Park, named for the surrounding Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, is a galvanizing greenspace amidst the surrounding bustle of the city. Encompassing 17 acres, this spectacular park is packed with amenities for all to enjoy – all just a short walk down the hill from the popular Eastside Trail.
Construction to replace the boardwalk at Historic Fourth Ward Park began on December 9, 2019. The work will be ongoing for the next month or so. Please respect detour signs and use caution near the construction work.
Kids will have a blast climbing, sliding and swinging, while adults take in the fun from a shade structure nearby.
Cool off in the splash pad (open 10am-8pm, May 1 thru Oct 1).
The park has many useful amenities, including: benches, public restrooms, nighttime lighting, trash/recycling cans and doggie waste bags.
