You can step off of Westview Drive and onto the Atlanta BeltLine’s West End Trail at a pedestrian crossing across from Hopkins Street.
Along Westview Drive in southwest Atlanta, you will find the Atlanta BeltLine’s West End Trail. At this point, it crosses over the old railroad corridor (which cuts under I-20) and parallels Langhorn Street. You can bike, walk, or run west down the trail all the way to Westview Cemetery. Look for the pedestrian crossing by Hopkins Street which indicates one of the places you can hop on the trail (as seen in the video below).
East down the path from Westview Drive, the West End Trail crosses the interim hiking trail (which is the old railroad corridor). Pass south under I-20 and you will walk alongside the future Enota Park and to the Kroger Citi-Center on Cascade Road. The paved West End Trail follows Langhorn Street while the interim hiking trail follows the railroad bed (seen below).
To the north, the interim hiking trail crosses under Westview Drive and takes you to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Washington Park (seen below).
