Volunteer Programs

Take an Active Role in the Atlanta BeltLine!

Your involvement in the Atlanta BeltLine is absolutely critical to its success. The Atlanta BeltLine emerged from an inspired idea into a grassroots movement, and it continues to be fueled by community support and involvement. Participation from individuals is vital to the realization of the Atlanta BeltLine vision. It is essential that this project has the engaged support of, and input from, the people it serves. Remember, the Atlanta BeltLine is happening with you!

As the Atlanta BeltLine has matured as a project, the variety of ways to get involved has evolved as well. Whether you prefer to dig into the details, dig in the dirt, or dig into your wallet, you can become a huge part of its success. Join thousands of Atlantans who are helping make the Atlanta BeltLine happen!

Information Distribution

Promote the Atlanta BeltLine in the community and make residents aware of opportunities to play a role in the project’s development. By sharing information with friends, neighbors, local businesses, and other groups, you will raise awareness and encourage greater community participation and engagement.

Activities include:

  • Visiting local businesses and institutions (e.g. coffee shops, apartment communities, schools and churches) to leave information about the Atlanta BeltLine at these locations.
  • Attending neighborhood or other organizational meetings to distribute information about the Atlanta BeltLine
  • Connecting groups to opportunities to tour the Atlanta BeltLine or attend Atlanta BeltLine 101 presentations

Order materials via the website and we will ship them to you free of charge.

Atlanta BeltLine Volunteer Training

Volunteer training will resume in spring 2016. Please check back for updated session dates.

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership hosts a training session on the 2nd Wednesday at 5:30pm and 3rd Friday at 12:00pm of each month to help volunteers get up to speed. Trainings will provide volunteers with an overview of the Atlanta BeltLine project, allow volunteers to view the brochures, posters and handouts that may be in the Atlanta BeltLine booth, and get answers to questions that might be asked during a volunteer shift.

All volunteers are invited to participate at any time. Training is conducted at the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership office:

250 Williams Street NW
Suite 2115
Atlanta, GA 30303

Training is required before you can volunteer for a festival assignment.

Sign up is available by logging into the volunteer system above.
