Volunteer Programs

Take an Active Role in the Atlanta BeltLine!

Your involvement in the Atlanta BeltLine is absolutely critical to its success. The Atlanta BeltLine emerged from an inspired idea into a grassroots movement, and it continues to be fueled by community support and involvement. Participation from individuals is vital to the realization of the Atlanta BeltLine vision. It is essential that this project has the engaged support of, and input from, the people it serves. Remember, the Atlanta BeltLine is happening with you!

As the Atlanta BeltLine has matured as a project, the variety of ways to get involved has evolved as well. Whether you prefer to dig into the details, dig in the dirt, or dig into your wallet, you can become a huge part of its success. Join thousands of Atlantans who are helping make the Atlanta BeltLine happen!

Atlanta BeltLine Ambassadors

Promote the Atlanta BeltLine in the community and make residents aware of opportunities to play a role in the project’s development. By sharing information with friends, neighbors, local businesses, and other groups, you will raise awareness and encourage greater community participation and engagement.

Activities include:

  • Visiting local businesses and institutions (e.g. coffee shops, apartment communities, schools and churches) to leave information about the Atlanta BeltLine at these locations.
  • Attending neighborhood or other organizational meetings to distribute information about the Atlanta BeltLine
  • Volunteering for various community outreach days to provide information to residents and encourage their involvement and participation
  • Connecting groups to opportunities to tour the Atlanta BeltLine or attend Atlanta BeltLine 101 presentations

Simply sign up (or current volunteers can sign in via the form to the right) to get started!

Neighborhood Festivals

Spring, summer and fall bring about great neighborhood festivals in Atlanta, attracting people from all around the metro area. Volunteering to share information by staffing the Atlanta BeltLine booth at these events – all while enjoying the festivities – is a fun way to connect the public with the Atlanta BeltLine.

Speakers Bureau

Do you like public speaking? As a volunteer with the Speakers Bureau, you will play an important role by giving our Atlanta BeltLine 101 presentation to community residents, local organizations, business associations, and other interested groups. Volunteers in this specially selected group go through extensive training.
