Streetscapes

Ponce de Leon Ave: This project involves 0.68 miles of streetscape work along Ponce de Leon, as well as a new ramp providing access to the Eastside Trail from Ponce de Leon. The ramp is currently closed for public use as the contractor replaces much of the grated surface of the ramp.

Trail Lighting and Camera Projects

  • Wylie Street Permanent Cameras: Starting January 5th, the Beltline is adding cameras to the Southeast Trail at Wylie Street. Because this is a narrow section of the trail, there are possible interim detours to the sidewalk across the street. Work is expected to be complete by May 2026.

  • Northeast Trail "Gravel Rail Trail" Permanent Lighting and Cameras: In January, we will also trim landscaping, add new gravel, and put up permanent lights and cameras along this popular trail. The trail will be fenced off during construction, with the mainline trail used as the 'detour.' Work is expected to be complete by May 2026.

  • Westside Trail - Camera Replacement: The cameras on the original Westside Trail will be replaced beginning January 5th. There will be minimal impact on trail users, with appropriate safety barriers in place. Work is expected to be complete by April 2026.

  • Westside Trail - Segment 6: This month, we will begin trimming landscaping, adding new gravel, and putting up temporary poles in this corridor for lighting and cameras on the interim trail until the permanent trail construction work is mobilized.
