Southside Trail-Segments 4 and 5

Spanning 1.2 miles from Boulevard to Glenwood Avenue, the project involves a 14-foot-wide multi-use path with 3-foot soft shoulders on each side, with retaining walls, vertical connections to adjoining streets, storm drainage, replaced bridges, and more infrastructure.

These segments are closed for construction. Trespassing on active construction sites is prohibited.

Project Status

Storm line installation is ongoing. Work on the Ormewood Avenue bridge abutment, south side, will continue into mid-July. The United Avenue ramp construction will begin in mid-July and continue for the next several weeks. The trail will remain closed for the duration of construction which is expected to last through Fall 2025.

Project Timeline

  • June 2023: Construction Mobilization

  • Fall 2025: Construction Completion
