Northwest Trail - Segment 2

This section of trail begins at the southwest corner of Bobby Jones Golf Course and travels 0.7 miles east along Colonial Hills Circle. It will connect with the existing Northside Trail and like most of the Northwest Trail, will be built outside of existing railroad corridor.

The full Northwest Trail will run for 4.3 miles from the terminus of the Westside Trail to the beginning of the Northeast Trail.

Project Status

The design drawings for this segment are 60% complete. As a result, real estate purchases and easements have begun. Drawings are expected to reach 100% design in Q4 2024. A construction date is still TBD for this segment.

Project Timeline

  • August 2022: Prioritized alignment announced for the Northwest Trail.

  • March 2024: 60% design completed.
