We’re thrilled to share the biggest moments and proudest accomplishments from the Atlanta Beltline’s 20th anniversary year.
- Atlanta Beltline‚ Inc.
2025 marked the Atlanta Beltline’s 20th anniversary — and what a year of unstoppable progress it’s been! From new trail openings to community impact and continued innovation, this year was full of milestones, opportunity, and promise for the future.
1. More Trail Miles Connecting Atlanta
In 2025, we reached 13.6 miles of completed Beltline trail with the openings of Westside Trail – Segment 4 and Northwest Trail – Segment 3A. Even better — Northwest Trail — Segments 4 and 5 broke ground and celebrated a ribbon-cutting on the same day, adding 4.4 miles now under construction. Once complete, this will bring the Beltline to 16.7 continuous miles by June 2026, giving Atlantans more ways than ever to walk, bike, roll, and explore neighborhoods across the city.
2. Enota Park Construction Kicks Off
After years of planning and community anticipation, construction officially began at Enota Park, a major new public green space that will bring recreation and community gathering opportunities to the Westside.
3. First‑Ever Beltline Career Fair
We hosted our first ever Beltline Career Fair — and neighbors showed up in force. Over 600 Atlantans came ready to connect with employers, build skills, and explore new opportunities right here in their communities.
4. $2 Million for Local Developers
To support commercial affordability and community‑driven development, we launched the Local Developer Incentive Fund, investing $2 million in local developers creating below-market commercial space along the Beltline corridor. The fund provides recoverable grants ranging from $150,000 to $500,000 for new and recently completed projects.
5. Meet the Beltline Ambassadors
This year we introduced the Beltline Ambassador Program — a team of friendly faces who help keep the corridor welcoming, safe, and enjoyable for everyone who uses it.
6. Transit Planning Takes a Big Step Forward
Transit planning made big gains in 2025 with the completion of the Beltline Transit Study, which includes an infill station plan and preparations for an autonomous vehicle pilot — bringing us closer to a connected, multi‑modal future.
7. Best Place to Work — Again!
For the second year in a row, the Beltline was named one of Atlanta’s Best Places to Work, celebrating the people who make progress possible through passion, purpose, and teamwork.
8. Advancing Long‑Term Affordability
We made significant strides on long‑term affordability by advancing development on Beltline‑owned land and acquiring Bennett Street Phase II, reinforcing our commitment to inclusive growth and sustained community strength. The Beltline’s land holdings have increased to nearly 90 acres.
9. Fitness + Community = 10,000 Strong
Free fitness classes, race series events, and run club gatherings — more than 10,000 Atlantans participated in movement‑focused programming this year — proving that health and community were at the heart of Beltline life in 2025. For the first time, many runners “raced the loop,” earning a medal commemorating the accomplishment. Learn about the exciting addition to next year’s race series here.
10. Legacy Residents Building Real Wealth
One of the most meaningful outcomes of 2025 came through the Legacy Resident Retention Program (LRRP), where 277 legacy homeowners collectively increased their wealth by $9.2 million. LRRP covers the annual increase in property taxes above 2019 levels through 2030 — making generational opportunity a reality for longtime residents.
Every year brings new milestones — but 2025 was special. Twenty years in, and the Beltline continues to build connections, opportunities, and impact across Atlanta.
This isn’t just progress for today; we’re building for generations to come. We can’t wait to step into the next chapter with you.
