Skyline Apartments Expands Livability Along the Beltline
Developments like Skyline Apartments are connecting residents to Atlanta in more ways than one.
- Affordable Housing

The Beltline is not only about connecting Atlanta neighborhoods; it’s also about ensuring that the neighborhoods remain accessible to the people who need them most. Through strategic land use and planning, the Beltline has set a goal to create or preserve 5,600 affordable homes by 2030, a goal that is now 79% complete as of 2025. One way we work toward this goal is by collaborating with our partners to support affordable developments like Skyline Apartments.
Skyline is the Limit!
Skyline Apartments is located in Peoplestown along the Beltline’s Southside Trail and is home to excited tenants like Bill Watson, a U.S. Navy veteran. With an incoming MARTA station across the street and the Beltline just steps away, Skyline offers residents a community that’s easily connected to the city.
For Bill, that access is especially meaningful. With the Beltline’s ADA compliant trail access points, his commute through the city is easier and more convenient. Bill also uses the Beltline as a gathering place, organizing meetups with the wheelchair community and creating more opportunities for connection along the corridor.
That sense of belonging is at the heart of why affordable housing matters. As new trails, parks, and developments come to Atlanta neighborhoods, affordability helps ensure that longtime residents, working families, seniors, veterans, and those that live within the area median income can continue to be part of the communities they call home.
“It’s about making sure regular people who can’t fit into a certain income bracket are allowed to be here,” says Mohammad Azizuddin, construction and project manager for the Skyline development.
By creating and preserving homes at a range of affordability levels, developments like Skyline help make it possible for more Atlantans to live near the Beltline and enjoy its benefits.
