- Affordable Housing
The Atlanta BeltLine is committed to the creation and preservation of affordable housing in BeltLine neighborhoods. This includes helping ensure that longstanding residents in these communities can stay in their homes through programs such as the Legacy Resident Retention Program (LRRP).
The Legacy Resident Retention Program is designed to help prevent displacement by assisting current homeowners with cost increases in their property taxes. The grant program provides property tax assistance through tax year 2030. Made possible thanks to the support of the philanthropic community: the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation, Georgia Power, Bank of America, and The Tull Foundation, some 64 participants have been accepted into the program to date, with new applications still coming in.
In this video, LRRP participant, Ed Hall shares what the program means to him.
