WHAT: Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) will hold a Westside Study Group public meeting for the design of the Westside Trail extension north from Washington Park to the Westside BeltLine Connector. ABI and the design consultant, Alta Planning + Design, will introduce alignment options and discuss ABI and community preferences between those alternatives.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The Westside Study Group includes residents of Mozley Park, Ashview Heights, Hunter Hills, Bankhead, Vine City, Washington Park, Knight Park/Howell Station, English Avenue, Rockdale, and Grove Park.
WHEN: The meeting will be held on Monday, October 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: The Westside Trail Extension will be a 1.3-mile multi-use trail between Washington Park to the south and PATH Foundation’s Westside BeltLine Connector trail north of Hollowell Parkway. It will provide access to the Bankhead MARTA station, Maddox Park, the future Westside Park, and the Proctor Creek Greenway. It will also connect the neighborhoods of Bankhead, English Avenue, Grove Park, Knight Park, and Howell Station.
The 14-foot wide trail will include landscaping, a fiber duct bank, retaining walls, vertical connections to adjoining streets, stainless steel handrails/guardrails, storm management, soil remediation, lighting, and security cameras.
