There’s a fabulous little neighborhood open space on the Westside Trail that is going to get some much-needed love and attention this summer. Located at the corner of Holderness Street, SW and Fenwood Street SW, Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) will be updating this public space, providing residents with a more usable space for community events as well as easier access to the Westside Trail.

Improvements will include:

  • Replacing the mulched footpath from the street to the Westside Trail with an ADA accessible 10-foot-wide concrete walk;
  • Fixing the existing curb along Holderness Street and patching up asphalt as needed to help prevent flooding in the space during heavy rains;
  • Grading the open space and installing Bermuda sod to create a flatter, more pleasant lawn area so that residents can better enjoy the space;
  • Repairing the existing chain link fence on the north side of the entry path.

Work will begin in late spring 2020 and take approximately three weeks to complete.

  1. It would be very helpful if your announcements of certain sections of the Beltline would always include a map where they are. I would really appreciate knowing where you are referring to when giving Beltline information.
