ABOUT THE PROJECT: In 2007, master planning began by looking at the ½ mile on either side of the Atlanta BeltLine corridor to create a framework to support future growth and transit in the corridor. There are 10 distinct subarea master plans for the Atlanta BeltLine and they are subject to periodic review and adoption by City Council.

The Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) program incentivizes jurisdictions to re-envision communities as vibrant, walkable places that support mobility options, healthy lifestyles, and improved access to jobs, services, and housing.

This is the first in a series of meetings seeking input to update both Master Plans. We will evaluate the original plan recommendations and examine existing conditions. The planning process will include four public meetings and meetings with the affected Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs) and ultimately City Council approval.
