Public Meeting: Subarea 9 and 10 Master Plan Update Open House
posted in Press Releases // 10/22/18

WHAT: Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) will hold an Open House for the Westside Study Group for Subareas 9 and 10 Master Plan updates.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This meeting is open to all of the public but is focused on the Westside Study Group area. The Westside Study Group includes residents of the Mozley Park, Ashview Heights, Hunter Hills, Bankhead, Vine City, Washington Park, Knight Park/Howell Station, English Avenue, Rockdale, Grove Park, Harris-Chiles, Mozley Park, Just Us, and Atlanta University Center.

WHEN: The meeting will be held on October 29 at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: KIPP Ways Academy – 350 Temple Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30314. This location is accessible via MARTA bus #51 and Ashby Station (0.8 miles). See itsmarta.com for details.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: In 2007, master planning began by looking at the ½ mile on either side of the Atlanta BeltLine corridor to create a framework to support future growth and transit in the corridor. There are 10 distinct subarea masterplans for the Atlanta BeltLine and they are subject to periodic review and adoption by City Council.

The purpose of this meeting is to share findings from all of the public meetings throughout the spring, summer and fall related to Subareas 9 and 10. There will not be a formal presentation. Instead, there will be an open house to review and prioritize the draft final recommendations for land use (e.g. mixed use, housing, commercial services), mobility (e.g. trails, sidewalks, bikes, transit), parks and greenspace within these subareas.

This is the closing of our public outreach efforts for the Subarea 9 & 10 Master Plan Updates. If you would like to review previous presentations ahead of the open house, please visit beltline.org/engage.
