Recently, the Atlanta BeltLine has been honored with several new awards.
In a ceremony on September 13, 2018, the Atlanta BeltLine’s Westside Trail was honored with the Award for Excellence in the Public Realm by the Atlanta chapter of the Urban Land Institute. The Westside Trail, which was opened in 2017 as a 3-mile multi-use transit corridor, was also named as an Outstanding Initiative by the Georgia chapter of the American Planning Association.
Additionally, the Atlanta BeltLine was honored with the 2018 Partner Recognition award from Booker T. Washington High School. The award was given in appreciation of the Atlanta BeltLine’s support and dedication to the school.
Finally, the Atlanta BeltLine picked up a few Reader’s Choice honors from Creative Loafing’s annual Best of Atlanta awards: Best Dog Walking Spot, Best Free Thing to Do in Atlanta, and Best Art Exhibit for Art on the Atlanta BeltLine.
