LOVE ATLANTA Volunteers Make a Difference at Maddox and Tanyard Creek Parks

For the third straight year, volunteers from LOVE ATLANTA – a week-long program of city-wide service hosted by Passion City Church – showed up ready to serve on the Atlanta BeltLine!

On Friday, June 29th, more than sixty volunteers joined us at Tanyard Creek Park on the Northside Trail, making significant progress on long-term ecosystem restoration efforts, uncovering a beautiful stone pavilion foundation, and picking up several bags of litter from along the trail and the creek. On Saturday, June 30th, the Friends of Maddox Park hosted more than 130 volunteers who beautified landscape beds throughout the park, picked up litter, cleaned picnic tables and playground equipment, and painted park benches. Special thanks to Taco Proposito for providing breakfast and the Friends of Maddox Park for sharing the story of the park and their community, as well as for treating volunteers to lunch and fun in the park. Scroll down to view a few images from the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our third year working with the amazing volunteers of LOVE ATLANTA! They are a passionate and hardworking group and we look forward to working with them again next year.
