Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. Seeks Proposals for Affordable Housing on Eastside Trail

New development consists of multifamily affordable housing, with 40 percent of units or more designated as affordable workforce homes

WHO:   Atlanta BeltLine Inc.
WHAT:   Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) has issued a Request for Proposals to develop a second phase of the Lofts at Reynoldstown Crossing located at 890 Memorial Drive, Atlanta, 30316. The primary goal of the development will be multifamily affordable housing, with 40 percent of units or more designated as affordable workforce homes. The site is located directly adjacent to the Eastside Trail. A portion of the site will be sold or leased to a firm or team with a proven track record of housing development with affordable units.

In 2011, ABI purchased the Lofts at Reynoldstown Crossing out of receivership and completed the development of 29 condominium units and one commercial space. Twenty-eight of the units were sold as workforce housing to families earning under $69,000 in 2012. The commercial space is occupied by the Atlanta BeltLine’s PATH Force Unit, a unit of the Atlanta Police Department (APD).

WHEN:   Proposals are due Friday, June 9 at 3:00 p.m. A pre-proposal meeting will be held at ABI’s offices on Tuesday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. The full scope of the engagement and detailed requirements of the submission can be found in the Request for Proposals.
