Celebrate a Healthy, Active Lifestyle at Washington Park Jamboree and Play Day 2017

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership (ABP) has announced that this year’s Washington Park Jamboree and Play Day will take place Saturday, April 29, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This is ABP’s third year hosting the free, family-oriented festival at this popular park located in Atlanta’s historic Westside. This year’s event has special meaning as Washington Park sits at the northern end of the 3-mile Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail, currently under construction and scheduled to open later this year.

The Washington Park Jamboree serves as the official kick-off for the 2017 Atlanta BeltLine Partnership Free Fitness Series, featuring live fitness demonstrations provided by professional instructors. Healthcare providers will be on hand offering free health screenings. Healthy food options from local growers will be available at the Food Oasis presented by Atlanta Community Food Bank. The first Atlanta BeltLine Play Day of 2017 rounds out a full offering of outdoor fun for all ages, with trained coaches giving instruction to attendees across a range of sports and fitness activities.

“The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership is thrilled to return to Washington Park for the third straight year to provide this free, fun festival for all ages,” said ABP Executive Director Rob Brawner. “The Jamboree engages Westside residents and visitors with the Atlanta BeltLine and empowers them to connect with the healthier lifestyles the Westside Trail will support when it opens later this year.”
