On October 15, 2015, Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. and Post Properties teamed up for the second annual workday on the Atlanta BeltLine. The 2014 workday, on the Northside Trail in Tanyard Creek Park, was such a success that we decided to do it again this year!

The 2015 workday focused on the stretch of northeast hiking trail from the Park Tavern lot to Evelyn Street. Chatham Landscaping joined us to clear invasive plants, pick up trash, and trim trees to improve sight-lines between the trail and Piedmont Park.

Turner Broadcasting employees also had a cleanup scheduled on the stretch of hiking trail north of Evelyn. Throughout the day, an astounding amount of brush was cleared and trash collected.

The northeast hiking trail extends from Monroe Drive to Montgomery Ferry, running alongside Piedmont Park and behind Ansley Mall. The trail, which is open for interim use, is used by pedestrians, dog-walkers, joggers, and even cyclists willing to brave the bumpy terrain.
