Best of Atlanta for 2015!

Creative Loafing’s Best of ATL Awards for 2015 have been announced, and the Atlanta BeltLine cleaned up in Reader’s Picks categories! (Thank you, CL readers & Atlanta BeltLine supporters!) Among the honors bestowed upon the transportation and redevelopment project were:

  • Best free thing to do
  • Best jogging path
  • Best new thing about Atlanta
  • Best place to ride your bike

The Atlanta BeltLine tied with the Georgia Aquarium for “Best tourist spot for locals,” likely earning votes from some of the Eastside Trail’s 1.1 million visitors in 2014. Congrats to the Georgia Aquarium!

Historic Fourth Ward Park also earned some love from readers, securing spots for “Best playground” and “Best public skatepark.”

You also voted Art on the Atlanta BeltLine as the “Best art exhibit in a nontraditional space,” and the Atlanta BeltLine as the place to see the “Best public artwork.” Your timing couldn’t be better, because we just kicked off our sixth annual Art on the Atlanta BeltLine exhibition, with 60,000 people visiting the Eastside Trail for last week’s Lantern Parade. More events take place this weekend at the Reynoldstown Stage and Gordon White Park, and visual art will remain on the east side through mid-November.

Thanks, again, for all of your support – see you on the Atlanta BeltLine!
