The Eastside Trail Receives the Building Healthy Places Award from ULI Atlanta!

On Thursday, September 10, 2015 the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail was honored with the Building Healthy Places Award! The award is from the Atlanta district of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is given out to projects that provide access to the natural environment and amenities, offer diverse housing and transportation options, and promote physical activity. The criteria require the project to be designed thoughtfully and to address unique community issues related to public health. The awards ceremony was held at the Fox Theater in Midtown. The Eastside Trail placed as a finalist along with a number of other projects, such as Krog Street Market and MARTA’s Buckhead station and pedestrian bridge.
