The 5th annual Atlanta BeltLine Southwest 5K kicked off at Gordon White Park on Saturday, July 11. Nearly 600 registered for the event, where runners and walkers got a sneak peak at Westside Trail construction progress while traversing a course through the Historic West End and Westview neighborhoods.
The Atlanta BeltLine Run.Walk.Go! Race Series has become popular for its featured challenges that engage runners and walkers in fun, friendly competition. The Southwest 5K team challenge provided participants an opportunity to compete for a $500 cash purse. Kudos to our winning teams: Runningnerds scored big with both the largest and fastest teams, while Black Men Run secured the prize for most spirited, with Back on My Feet scoring an honorable mention.

REGISTER for the SOUTHEAST 8K
The Atlanta BeltLine Southeast 8K, beginning and ending in Boulevard Crossing Park, is a fantastic way for runners to become more familiar with Southeast Atlanta. Featuring a 1K Youth Fun Run, the Southeast 8K is a great event for the whole family! Register now for the September 26, 2015 event.
