The Atlanta BeltLine
Where Atlanta Comes Together. Learn more
Last Thursday’s Northeast Study Group meeting at the Clubroom at AMLI Parkside ended with a bit of a twist. The meeting was focused on the improvements proposed between Boulevard and Freedom Parkway and the plaza on the Atlanta BeltLine corridor adjacent to North Avenue and the Ponce City Market development. Interested Atlanta residents turned out to learn more about these and other mobility and safety improvements taking place on Ponce de Leon.
When a transformer went out in the area and power was lost at the Clubroom, the meeting could have easily been short-circuited. But, we Atlantans aren’t ones to leave with unanswered questions! ABI staff stuck around and continued the conversation in the dark. Some meeting attendees even studied the Atlanta BeltLine map by cell phone light, asking questions and giving feedback.
For those attendees that called it a night at light’s out, watch for a rescheduled meeting to take place. For those that stayed – we do hope the experience was illuminating!
