Atlanta BeltLine Bike Tours

Atlanta BeltLine Partnership and Atlanta Bicycle Coalition kicked off the new Atlanta BeltLine Bike Tour program on November 16, featuring two 3-hour tours that showcase a 16-mile Eastside Trail route on Saturdays and an 11-mile Westside Trail route on Sundays.

“The annual Atlanta BeltLine Bike Tour has been a popular event, and our free Atlanta BeltLine Bus and Walking Tour programs have been a tremendous success, often filling within an hour of opening,” said Atlanta BeltLine Executive Director Valarie Wilson. “Partnering with the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition to offer regular, free bike tours of the corridor is a natural addition to the programs that we are offering to get Atlantans out and moving on the Atlanta BeltLine.”

Tours will traverse both streets and paved paths, and will include rest stops highlighting amenities and points of interest along the Atlanta BeltLine. Staff with the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition will lead the rides, and each group will have a ride sweep to help with any unexpected mechanical difficulties.

Riders should bring a multi-geared bicycle in good working condition, wear comfortable clothing, wear a helmet, and bring a water bottle. If you don’t have your own bike yet, try the Eastside route. This option will start and end at Atlanta BeltLine Bicycle, which has bikes available for rent. Plan to arrive 30 minutes early; availability is limited.
