The Atlanta Community ToolBank is Moving!

The Atlanta Community ToolBank is moving! A partner of the Atlanta BeltLine, ToolBank provides low-cost access to tools for use by charitable organizations in community service projects. On July 20, 2013, ToolBank will move into its new facility at 410 Englewood Avenue in southeast Atlanta, just yards from the Atlanta BeltLine. The move doubles ToolBank’s warehouse space, and with almost 200 varieties of tools available for use, the new space will help the organization get more tools out to volunteers quickly and efficiently.

The Atlanta Community ToolBank has provided tools to the Atlanta BeltLine for cleanups, art installations, and various other projects.  You can lend a hand to the folks that lend their tools: ToolBank is asking for volunteers to help them with the 2 mile move to the new location. Volunteers are required to be at least 18 years of age, able to lift up to 20 pounds, and wear closed-toe shoes. Hands are needed at both the old location (55 Ormond St SE) and the new, sorting, packing, painting, and other move-related tasks. Weekday morning and afternoon shifts are available, as well as a few Saturday morning shifts, including moving day. ToolBank is rewarding volunteers with t-shirts, raffles, and other fun perks. Find more details about volunteering for the move at the ToolBank website.
