How Do I Get There? Accessing the Atlanta BeltLine Hiking Trail in the Southwest in Adair Park

Please note that the Westside Trail is under construction through the fall of 2017. You will not be able to access the trail at this location until construction is complete. At that time, we will update our access point videos and descriptions.

In the southwest Atlanta neighborhood of Adair Park, you can access the Atlanta BeltLine interim hiking trails where Catherine Street comes off of Metropolitan Avenue and deadends into Allene Avenue. Across the street from this section is the continuation of the trail and our future urban agriculture farm. About 50 yards down Catherine Street is Adair Park I with greenspace, a playground, a gazebo, and tennis courts.

Looking northwest up the trail, you can see the MARTA tracks above Lee and Murphy and see remnants of Art on the Atlanta BeltLine 2011. The Atlanta BeltLine owns this section and you can take our urban hiking trails from here all the way up to Washington Park. You will also hear us call this area Murphy’s Crossing or Murphy’s Triangle.

Stay tuned to the Atlanta BeltLine facebook page for photos and updates as the project progresses! You can also read about our other access points in our blog and video series.
