Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. Enters Lease with Lanier Parking Solutions to Manage Parking Lot at 10th Street and Monroe Drive

Revenues Support Atlanta BeltLine Maintenance, Development and Operations

Atlanta (July 14, 2010) – Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. announced that Lanier Parking Solutions has been selected to manage the gravel parking lot at 10th Street and Monroe Drive on the Atlanta BeltLine corridor next to Park Tavern. The initial rates to park will be $3 during the week, $5 on weekends and $10 for high-volume events. Rates are subject to change. Revenue generated from this lease will support the maintenance, development and operating expenses of the Atlanta BeltLine project.

Following a publicized solicitation requesting proposals for parking services, Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. selected Lanier Parking Solutions to manage the lot. Patrons of Park Tavern, the previous manager of this parking lot, will receive discounted rates for parking, and the property will be managed to accommodate special events at the Piedmont Room and the Piedmont Garden Tent.

In mid-August, Lanier Parking Solutions will install an automated system that requires users to pay by cash or credit card upon entering the facility. This system will be in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the interim, Lanier will have parking attendants collect parking fees as demand dictates. Signage has been installed on-site to clearly notify the public of this new arrangement and rate structure.
This section of the old rail corridor will ultimately be developed as part of the Atlanta BeltLine project.
