On a a customized guided walking or bus tour, you’ll learn how a 22-mile loop of trails, parks, and future transit connects 45 neighborhoods and reshapes Atlanta into a global model for equity, culture, and community. Led by Unexpected Atlanta Tours, an official partner of the Beltline, you’ll explore the project's history, art, ecology, and development—from vibrant local businesses to inspiring public art and the evolving Beltline Arboretum.

Tour Options

Eastside Walking Tour

  • A dynamic blend of greenway and arts and culture in the most developed portion of the Beltline.

  • Connecting Piedmont Park to Reynoldstown on the very first completed section of the Beltline.

  • Experience Historic Fourth Ward Park, featuring a 2-acre lake, parkspace, and an amphitheater.

  • Discover Ponce City Market, a signature urban reuse space and public art installations.

  • Recommended for teams particularly interested in planning & development, government affairs, and arts and culture.

  • Distance: 0.8 miles

  • Terrain: Paved, easy walk

What to Expect

  • Length of Tours - All tours are 3 hours long.

  • Outdoor Experience - Please wear clothing and shoes suitable for walking one mile in the outdoors. Do not wear high heels or stiff dress shoes as we want you to stay fully engaged with the experience rather than focused on your feet.

  • Rain or shine – Tours proceed in all weather conditions. We encourage guests to check the forecast and dress accordingly. Ponchos and hand fans are provided if needed.

  • Stay refreshed –Opportunity to purchase coffee or refreshments on each experience

  • Subject matter expertise – Tours can be tailored to your group’s interests (please indicate preferences in the request form) and two ABI subject matter experts will speak directly with your team on the two topics you choose.

  • Expert guides – Guides and hosts bring the stories of the Atlanta Beltline to life, connecting history, community, and future development.

  • Potential add ons - We can arrange add-ons, such as meeting a member of the executive team or learning from the Beltline Partnership, the foundation that raises private and philanthropic funds and delivers community programs that are fully supported by donor contributions.
