Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is hosting a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening on the Northeast Trail – Segment 1 on November 12, 2024.

WHAT: Atlanta Beltline, Inc. will celebrate the completion of Northeast Trail – Segment 1 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. This newly completed 0.9-mile section is the latest addition to the Beltline mainline loop. Northeast Trail – Segment 1 begins at the intersection of 10th Street and Monroe Drive and extends along Piedmont Park to Westminster Drive linking Midtown, Virginia Highland, and Morningside neighborhoods. 

This trail section includes key improvements to enhance connectivity and safety for trail users in partnership with the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT), transforming the 10th Street and Monroe Drive intersection.

  • Tuesday, November 12, 2024 

  • 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. (Media, please arrive by 12:30 p.m. to set up) 

  • Following the ceremony, media interviews and tours will be available of Northeast Trail – Segment 1 

 

WHERE: 

Park Tavern, 500 10th Street, Atlanta, GA 30309. 

Alternate transportation is encouraged. This location is accessible via MARTA buses #809 and #36 as well as the red and gold trains at MARTA Midtown Station, located one mile away. Please consider biking, walking, or using rideshare. Parking is available at Park Tavern with limited street parking on 10th. Comfortable, sturdy shoes are recommended.
