WHAT: Inaugural Big Tigger’s Beltline BikeFest
The entire community is invited to join Atlanta Beltline, Tigger and his celebrity friends on a 1.5-mile group bike ride through Atlanta’s newest and now largest greenspace, Westside Park. After the group ride, Westside Park will feature a family-friendly festival with a health fair, free health checks, food trucks from Slutty Vegan and Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, bike lessons from Kidokinetics, kids activities, DJs and live music performances. Free food will be offered to the first 200 guests. As part of the event, more than 100 bikes and helmets will also be given to Atlanta Public School students from surrounding Beltline neighborhoods.* BikeFest is presented by Aetna Better Health of Georgia & 1-800-TruckWreck.
WHEN: Sunday, June 4, 2023, 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
11 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Celebrity Bike Ride (Check-in Begins at 9:30 a.m.)
12 p.m.: Main Stage Kickoff
12:30 p.m.: APS Kid Bike Distribution* & Ceremonial Kids’ Ride
11 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Family Health Festival
WHERE: Atlanta’s Westside Park, 1600 Johnson Road Northwest, Atlanta, 30318
WHY: The idea for BikeFest came from Big Tigger himself, who reached out to the Beltline to help him bring his vision to life. “It’s important to me that our community stays physically active. We all need to live longer, healthier, more productive lives, not only for ourselves but for the generations following us. I also want Atlanta to see the Beltline as a resource towards those goals,” said Tigger. BikeFest is also in support of the City of Atlanta’s “Year of the Youth.”
