WHAT: Atlanta Beltline, Inc. (ABI) and the design consultant, Alta Planning + Design, will hold a Westside Study Group public meeting to give updates on the design progress on the Westside Trail North Extension, also referred to as Westside Trail Segment 4, from Washington Park to the Westside Beltline Connector.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The Westside Study Group includes residents of Mozley Park, Ashview Heights, Hunter Hills, Historic Westin Heights/Bankhead, Vine City, Washington Park, Knight Park/Howell Station, English Avenue, Rockdale, and Grove Park.

WHEN: The meeting will be held on Monday, July 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: The Westside Trail North Extension will be a 1.3-mile multi-use trail between Washington Park to the south and the Westside Beltline Connector trail north of Hollowell Parkway. It will provide enhanced opportunities to connect to trails and parks, such as Maddox Park, the future Westside Park, and the Proctor Creek Greenway, along with the Bankhead MARTA station. It will also connect the neighborhoods of Washington Park, Mozley Park, Hunter Hills, Bankhead / Historic Westin Heights, Grove Park, Knight Park, and Howell Station.

The 14-foot wide trail will include landscaping, a fiber duct bank, retaining walls, pedestrian connections to adjacent streets, intersection improvements storm management, soil remediation, lighting, and security cameras.
