Atlanta Beltline Partnership has recently raised $1.85 million in new philanthropic commitments from leading corporate and foundation partners to support the development of Enota Park, representing incredible generosity and major progress toward raising funds to build the community's vision for a transformative greenspace. The significant donations are from a Friend of the Atlanta Beltline ($750,000), Georgia Power ($500,000), Norfolk Southern ($250,000), The Fraser-Parker Foundation ($250,000) and an anonymous donor ($100,000).

"This generous support demonstrates the strong commitment of our corporate and philanthropic partners to creating vibrant, accessible parks that serve all Atlanta residents," said Rob Brawner, Executive Director of Atlanta Beltline Partnership. "Enota Park will be a vital community asset for the historic Westview neighborhood, a resource for students across the street at KIPP STRIVE, and a joyful destination for families and Beltline users."

The park's design is the result of extensive community engagement and creates a gateway between the Westside Trail and Westview, inviting users to enjoy a playground, splash pad, half-court basketball, multi-purpose activity fields, walking trails, large pavilion, and more.

Audrey King, Georgia Power's Senior Vice President of Region External Affairs, emphasized the company's dedication to Atlanta's communities: "Georgia Power is proud to support the development of Enota Park, which will provide essential greenspace and recreational opportunities for Southwest Atlanta residents. This investment aligns with our commitment to building stronger communities across Georgia."

"Norfolk Southern is proud to call Atlanta home and is committed to helping create thriving communities," said Norfolk Southern AVP Government Relations Conner Poe. "The Atlanta Beltline is a transformative, generational project for our home city, and Enota Park represents an important investment in Atlanta's Westside, creating opportunities for recreation, connection, and neighborhood growth, and we’re proud to support the continued positive impact it will have."

Westview president Dustin Mitchell-Scott shared the neighborhood's perspective: "Enota Park represents years of collaborative planning between residents and the Atlanta Beltline. This space will become a cornerstone of our community, providing gathering spaces, recreational opportunities, and natural beauty that will benefit generations to come."

These new commitments build upon previous philanthropic support from more than a dozen foundations, including The Coca-Cola Foundation, Truist Trusteed Foundations, and The Home Depot Foundation. Significant public investments for Enota Park have been made through the Atlanta Beltline Tax Allocation District, the State Fiscal Recovery Fund, and the City of Atlanta Moving Atlanta Forward Infrastructure Bond.

Still, Brawner notes $1.3 million of additional private funding is needed to fully realize the community's vision for Enota Park.

"We’re grateful for this tremendous show of support from our funding partners," added Brawner. "As we work to complete fundraising for Enota Park, we invite other corporate and philanthropic leaders to join us in creating this transformative public space that will serve Atlanta residents for generations to come."

Atlanta Beltline, Inc. will manage the park's construction and is anticipated to break ground on the park in 2025.
