Atlanta Beltline Appoints First-Ever Director of Impact & Evaluation to Lead New Department

New department to advance transparency, accountability, and equitable outcomes for communities along the Beltline

    SEPTEMBER 04, 2025

Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of Devin Olmack as the organization’s first-ever Director of Impact & Evaluation. With this appointment, the Beltline launches a centralized data department, marking a significant milestone in how the Beltline leverages data to assess and articulate community impact. This new department will play a pivotal role in tracking progress, evaluating outcomes, and communicating the Beltline’s impact, strengthening transparency and accountability across the organization.

“We are excited to welcome Devin to the organization where under her leadership, our new department will sharpen our ability to advance measurable, equitable outcomes in communities surrounding the Beltline,” said Nonet Sykes, Chief People and Impact Officer at Atlanta Beltline, Inc. “With her expertise and background, she will foster a culture of data-driven decision making and storytelling ensuring the People’s Project is delivering an inclusive vision for Atlanta’s future.”

Since its inception, data has guided the Beltline’s work as we continue to advance the completion of the 22-mile rail-to-trail loop. With the launch of this new department, the Beltline enters a new era of data-driven impact while building on existing data infrastructure. The recently launched Reports & Insights hub reflects this commitment, bringing together data and program outcomes to highlight the "why" behind the work, from socioeconomic trends and population growth to neighborhood stabilization.

In her new role, Olmack brings over a decade of experience in impact measurement and data strategy to the Beltline. She will oversee the new department and lead a team including a Data Insights Manager and a GIS Manager.

Together, the team will track progress on goals such as affordable housing and job creation while also collecting, analyzing, and visualizing real-time data to prioritize investments, mitigate displacement risks, and drive continuous improvement.

“I’m honored to join the Atlanta Beltline at such a pivotal and exciting moment,” said Olmack.  “The Beltline stands as a global model for how it’s transforming Atlanta through connectivity, sustainability, and equity. I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place to ensure data continues to be at the center of our decision-making and sharing that back with the community.”

Prior to joining the Beltline, Olmack served as Senior Officer at Calvert Impact, where she led impact measurement strategy for a $177M mission-driven fund designed to contribute to closing the racial wealth gap. Her previous roles include positions at 60 Decibels in New York City, Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI), and the United States Peace Corps.

Olmack holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Development Economics with specialized training in quantitative evaluation from Georgetown University.
