Mechanicsville

Mechanicsville earned its name because of the population of railroad mechanics that use to reside in the neighborhood. It is one of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhoods and features Queen Anne, folk Victorian and Craftsman–style homes. Located just south of Downtown, Mechanicsville is adjacent to Pittsburgh and Peoplestown, which border the Southside Unpaved Trail.

Getting There

The neighborhood is south of I-20, west of the I-75/85 Connector, and borders the Pittsburgh neighborhood on its southwest side.
