Bankhead
Bankhead is a neighborhood in Northwest Atlanta, home to Maddox Park and adjacent to the future Westside Reservoir Park, which will encompass 300 acres and surpass Piedmont Park as Atlanta’s largest park.
Parks
Westside Park
Opened in the summer of 2021, the Westside Park is now the City of Atlanta’s largest planned greenspace at 280 acres. It serves as a catalyst for Westside neighborhoods and is the home of a critical backup source of drinking water for the entire city.
Trails
Westside BeltLine Connector
This multi-use trail is a critical link in the region’s trail network, with connections between job centers, other development activities on the westside of Atlanta, Maddox Park, the Bankhead MARTA station, and the Westside Park.
Westside Trail Extension
The Westside Trail Extension is NOT YET OPEN. Informally known as “the Kudzu Line,” this stretch will extend the existing Westside Trail and connect to the Westside Connector, currently in development by the PATH Foundation.
