Bankhead is a neighborhood in Northwest Atlanta, home to Maddox Park and adjacent to the future Westside Reservoir Park, which will encompass 300 acres and surpass Piedmont Park as Atlanta’s largest park.

Westside Park

Though NOT YET OPEN, the park is the City of Atlanta’s largest planned greenspace. Located in northwest Atlanta, it will double as a water reservoir and a 280-acre park when complete.

Westside Connector

This future multi-use trail will become a critical link in the region’s trail network with connections between job centers, other development activities on the westside of Atlanta, Maddox Park, the Bankhead MARTA station, and the future Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry.

Westside Trail Extension

The Westside Trail Extension is NOT YET OPEN. Informally known as “the Kudzu Line,” this stretch will extend the existing Westside Trail and connect to the Westside Connector, currently in development by the PATH Foundation.
