The Urban League of Greater Atlanta is part of a broader, National Urban League network of 98 historic civil rights organizations throughout the United States—all dedicated to fostering economic empowerment in order to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities. The Urban League of Greater Atlanta’s Housing Program is an approved counseling program of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Housing Program provides counseling services to the general public. Counseling sessions focus on financial preparedness and mortgage readiness and other areas applicable to obtaining and maintaining safe homeownership.
