Georgia’s senior citizens can access substantial discounts on their communication services through the federal Lifeline program. The Lifeline Assistance Program provides qualifying Georgia seniors a monthly discount of up to $9.25 on their phone or internet service. This federal benefit applies to:

-Complete an application online or download a paper form
-Provide documentation proving eligibility:
-Proof of program participation OR
-Proof of income at or below 135% of poverty guidelines
-Documentation must include your name and be dated within the last 12 months
-After verification, contact your preferred service provider to apply the discount
