The Senior Home Repair Program provides free home repairs to ensure the safety and well-being of seniors, veterans, and disabled homeowners in Greater Atlanta. As part of Nehemiah Project CDC’s broader Neighborhood Revitalization Program, this initiative helps create stable and sustainable communities through the following key efforts:
Major and Minor Home Repairs:
Safety Improvements: Repairs such as fixing roofs, electrical systems, and plumbing to improve safety and accessibility in the homes of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Accessibility Modifications: Installing grab bars, wheelchair ramps, and other features to ensure homes are accessible for elderly and disabled residents.

Eligibility:
The program serves low to moderate income seniors, veterans and disabled citizens in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicant must be a homeowner and meet the income eligibility requirements for very low to moderate low-income families (30% or lower to 80% of the average median income for the City of Atlanta). Required Documents for all members of the household: Social Security Statement, or W-2 Forms Pension statement or three months of pay stubs No Income- Please provide a copy of GA Dept. of Labor Wage Verification Form Copy of Driver’s License or State ID Copy of Water & Electric Bill (Home Owner) Home Owner’s Insurance (Home Owner) Tax Deed (Home Owner)
