Construction
Digital Access
As the Beltline enhances mobility through infrastructure, this Smart Corridor project includes installing 22 smart hubs of technology across the 18 miles of open Beltline trail. These sites will all include public Wi-Fi access zones and a digital wayfinding kiosk.
Near the Marketplace locations additional technologies will be piloted including smart trash cans and camera visualization AI technology. The Pittsburgh Yards access point and Freedom Parkway Marketplace locations will also include the Nourish+Bloom autonomous grocery container concept and EV Charging stations somewhat adjacent to the sites.

Project Status
Work is underway on multiple locations as our subcontractor eX2 Technology and their subcontractors continue to advance site development and implementation work for our digital access and smart corridor project. Activities will ramp back up this week as we have reached the end of FIFA World Cup festivities in Atlanta. Updates include:
Freedom Parkway site is mostly complete. This week, punch list items are back underway and interior build-out continues to get the Nourish + Bloom autonomous grocery ready for opening. During the week of July 27, additional boring will occur adjacent to the site to finish up permanent power. Final devicing work is underway to include public Wi-Fi and camera visualization technology.
At the Irwin location, site restoration work and beautification will get back underway. Final devicing work is underway to include public Wi-Fi and camera visualization technology.
At the Pittsburgh Yards and Glenwood locations, final devicing work is underway to include public Wi-Fi.
Pre-work for electrical and staking is taking place at the Washington Park site. Boulevard, Hill Street, and Milton sites have all been staked and will begin pre-work the week of July 27.
Installation of safety and silt fencing will occur around all construction areas as required.
No permanent blocking of pedestrians/trail will be done and any temporary moving of equipment through and in this area will utilize cones and a person for traffic control.
