Subarea 7 Master Plan Update
The Subarea 7 Master Plan update is an effort to ensure our plan, which was originally adopted in 2009 and selected by the Atlanta Regional Commission as a Livable Centers Initiative in 2014, reflects community priorities and visions.
This subarea is a key transportation anchor that includes future mainline trail and will serve as a confluence of other regional trail systems.

About the Area
Subarea 7 extends from I-75/85 to the south, Buckhead and Lindbergh to the north, Peachtree Road to the east, and Northside Drive to the west.
It includes Ardmore Park, Brookwood and Brookwood Hills, Collier Hills, Lindbergh and Lindbergh City Center, Lindridge, Martin Manor, and Peachtree Hills. The subarea also includes Tanyard Creek, the Atlanta Memorial Trail, Bobby Jones Golf Course, Piedmont Hospital, Shepherd Center, the Northwest Connector and Bitsy Grant Connector Trails, the Armour/Ottley District, and the Lindbergh/Uptown area.

Project Overview
Subarea master plans are created to provide the City of Atlanta with recommendations on guiding growth and development within communities, including transit, mobility, affordable housing, and more. This plan will coordinate and align priorities with ATL DOT’s Comprehensive Transportation Plan update. With this project, we aim to:
Update the 2009 master plan with land use, transportation and mobility, housing, economic development, arts and culture, and natural features and open space recommendations
Engage with stakeholders and community members
Develop a high-level community vision for Beltline-owned property
Current Phase
We're currently kicking off this project. This phase is expected to last 2-3 months and will include:
Understanding existing conditions in the subarea.
Establishing a technical and community stakeholder committee.
Discovering challenges and opportunities related to land use, transportation, economic development, and housing.

Next Steps
Once the project team has reviewed and conducted an existing conditions analysis and collected input from stakeholders, we'll move into the formal input phase. This includes:
Determining community priorities through formal public meetings, informal pop-ups, and more.
Analyzing community and stakeholder input.
Synthesizing input into early conclusions and recommendations.
Presenting these findings to ensure we're moving in the right direction.
