Atlanta Beltline Urban Farm

Harvest in the Heart of the City

The Atlanta Beltline is driving transformative change toward an equitable, inclusive, and sustainable city. This urban farm brings that vision to life—growing fresh food, restoring the land, and strengthening neighborhoods around the corridor.

Continuing a Community Legacy

Formerly known as Aluma Farm, this 3.8-acre former industrial site along the Beltline's Southwest Trail was transformed by the farm operators into a vibrant urban garden. To ensure the land was safe for growing food, the Atlanta Beltline partnered with the EPA to conduct a full soil remediation, helping lay the groundwork for its transformation. By 2024, it was producing over 30,000 pounds of food annually.

Committed to Lasting Impact

The Beltline continues to seek out ways to use this space for urban farming and forestry—carrying forward a mission of sustainability, food access, and community connection. We are working with the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Resilience to utilize a portion of the site for urban agriculture programming and workforce development.

ABI has also partnered with Trees Atlanta to use a portion of the property as a support site for the installation of remaining portions of the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum.
