Join us for a guided stroll along a unique segment of the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum Southwest Trail. This tour will start at the Trees Atlanta’s Kendeda TreeHouse campus. There is much to explore on the 3-acre property that is home to Trees Atlanta’s headquarters, a model of sustainable design! We’ll check out the campus meadow, granite outcrop, water retention features, and even get a chance to practice some Tree ID!

We’ll continue along the Atlanta Beltline Southwest Arboretum Trail towards the Tiny Forest that Trees Atlanta planted as part of the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum. Along the way we’ll learn about Trees Atlanta’s new nursery & the important role it will play in Trees Atlanta’s efforts to protect and improve the city’s urban canopy.

This walk is perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about Trees Atlanta’s history, mission, urban trees and ecology. See examples of things that could be done in more spaces throughout Atlanta that could have a big impact!

About the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum: Established in 2006, the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum serves as a component of Atlanta’s urban forest, acting as a public garden, ecological corridor, and a learning landscape. The Arboretum is a dynamic collection of wild and cultivated tree and woody plant species, along with extensive southeastern grass and forb groundcover that showcases sustainable landscape management and demonstrates native plant use in an urban setting. Upon completion the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum will comprise over 100 acres across the 22-mile linear public garden, earning the title of the world’s longest accredited linear arboretum.
