Dive into the Beltline Swim program brought to you in partnership with Fish Scales Swimming!

Fish Scales Swimming is an inclusive beginner friendly social swim club that helps teens and adults become comfortable with swimming through community and training. Thanks to generous donor support, we are able to offer this class free of charge. All you need to bring is a proper swimsuit, goggles, a towel, and a positive attitude! Swimmers must be 18+ to participate.

All classes will be held on Saturday from 12:00-12:45 pm. Signing up for the first session indicates an intention to attend all subsequent classes in the series. Class dates for the first series of six lessons will be: 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 12/6, 12/13.

The numbers:

An NIH analysis from 2015 found that one-third of swimming pool drowning deaths were middle-aged (45–64 years) and older-aged (65 + years) adults. Of those adults who struggle with swimming skills, 70% are black, according to studies conducted by researchers at USA Swimming and the University of Memphis in 2017. But every person can and should learn to swim! And we're here to help.

Notes:

1. This is a 6-session series of classes - signing up for the first class indicates intention to attend most if not all of the series.

2. If you are signing up multiple people, please create a separate account for each.
