Tree Tour: Atlanta Beltline Arboretum Southwest Trail

Enjoy the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum with a Trees Atlanta Docent to learn about the trail and enjoy fresh air, new city views, and fascinating Atlanta history. This tour explores the Southwest Side Trail with a strong focus on the horticultural collections and interesting facts about these different segments of the Arboretum.
About the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum: The Atlanta Beltline Arboretum currently has 9,000 accessioned plants in its collection, with 369 unique tree and shrub species and cultivars. Eighty-eight genera of trees and shrubs are represented and identified with permanent signage. Additionally, over 500,000 non-accessioned live grasses, vines, and wildflowers have been planted within the Arboretum since 2013, along with 1,600 pounds of seeds of native plants sown in the meadow spaces.

- Getting There: Meet outside Costa Coffee at Lee & White parking lot. This is across the street from Rose Circle Park Statue. Costa Coffee is located at 1020 White Street, Suite 5, Atlanta, GA 30310. You can grab a drink and use the restroom. Nearest MARTA station is West End, approximately 5-10 minute walk to the meeting space. Free parking is available in the Lee + White parking lot.
- What to Bring and Wear: Reusable water bottle, sun and bug protection. Wear Sneakers or hiking shoes. Comfortable clothes.
Terrain, Incline, and Length: Tour is on a paved path that is mostly flat. There are no stairs on this approximately 1 mile tour. Open to all ages. - Registration required: Registration is Free! Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Trees Atlanta during checkout.
