Pittsburgh Community Market Kids' Lantern Making Workshop and Parade
Join the Atlanta Beltline, Pittsburgh Community Market, The Happy Black Parent, and Atlanta Indie Market for a family-friendly afternoon of lantern making before the Beltline's annual Lantern Parade!
Starting at noon, attendees can get creative at the children’s lantern making station and make their own unique lanterns for the celebration. The event will also feature the Pittsburgh Community Market with local businesses, food vendors, and more (interested vendors can sign up here). The day will culminate with a kids' parade, led by Atlanta Ol' Skool Drummers, around Pittsburgh Yards® and a portion of the Atlanta Beltline to showcase their creations.
Attendance at the market does not require a reservation, but please RSVP if you plan to make lanterns and participate in the children's parade to ensure we have enough supplies.
Schedule of Lantern Parade Events
- Noon - 7:00 p.m.: Pittsburgh Community Market & Kids Lantern Making Workshop
- 5:45 p.m.: Line-up for the Kids Lantern Parade
- 6:00 p.m.: Kids Lantern Parade
- 8:45 p.m.: Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade (Southwest Trail)
