Your Rights as a Renter and How to Find Help When You Need It Fast

January 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership is partnering with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and The Ke’nekt to host Your Rights as a Renter and How to Find Help When You Need It Fast. In this free home empowerment workshop, an Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation attorney will provide an overview of tenant’s rights in Georgia with the goal of equipping tenants with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep themselves and their families safely housed. Topics will include eviction defense, a landlord’s duty to repair, Georgia’s new landlord retaliation statute, and more. Following the presentation, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions. There may also be an opportunity for brief one-on-one consultations with the attorney to discuss specific issues.

  • Food and beverages will be served.
  • All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a free fitness watch and Amazon Fire tablet. Prizes to be awarded at the workshop.

The workshop is free to attend but please register here so we know how many people to expect.
