Understanding & Appealing Your 2020 Fulton County Property Tax Assessment

June 29, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Tax assessments for 2020 for Fulton County property owners were mailed out on June 19. If you haven’t received yours yet, you will soon. The mailing date triggers a 45-day window of time during which you have the right to appeal your assessment. If you feel your 2020 assessment is wrong or unfair and wish to appeal, you must file the appeal no later than Monday, August 3.

Atlanta BeltLine PartnershipAtlanta Legal Aid Society, and Grove Park Foundation are partnering to help guide property owners in BeltLine neighborhoods through the appeal process. A free virtual session scheduled for Monday, June 29, 6:00 – 7:30 pm will be informational, designed to help you understand your property tax statement and the options available if you want to appeal. For those who decide to appeal their assessment and would like assistance, we will be scheduling virtual individual consultations throughout July designed to get you the help you need. If you’d like to sign up for an individual consultation, just click the registration link you’ll see when you register for the information session. It all starts with the June 29 session, though, so visit our registration page now to RSVP and reserve your spot!

Thanks to Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Annie E. Casey Foundation for their ongoing support of our 2020 home empowerment workshops.
