Summer Play Day at Washington Park

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership is pleased to announce a series of three free Summer Play Days at parks along the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail. The first two Play Days were held on June 22 at Adair Park and July 13 at Gordon White Park. The final Play Day in the series will be held Saturday, August 10, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Washington Park.
Play Day events are packed with fun for the entire family, featuring trained coaches providing instruction to kids of all ages across a variety of sports and activities including soccer, flag football, dodgeball, kickball, rugby, tug-of-war, martial arts, and fitness classes. Healthy eating and nutrition are also emphasized at Play Days. We will even have free healthy popsicles!
Coaches, instructors and equipment for Play Days are provided by Atlanta ContactPoint, a nonprofit established to engage children and adults through the power of play. Thanks to Kaiser Permanente of Georgia for sponsoring these Summer Play Days through their Westside Trail Community Health Grant which focuses on connecting residents of Westside neighborhoods to healthy, fitness-related activities on the Atlanta BeltLine.
