REI’s Outdoor Yoga on the Atlanta Beltline
This event has passed.
Are you interested in an introduction to yoga, or do you practice yoga already? Do you love being outside? If so, join us for a weekly yoga session that will fill all of those needs! Our professional instructor will lead you through a multilevel flow beyond the walls of the studio. These sessions will help build a solid foundation for those new to the practice, and provide opportunities for established practitioners to deepen that foundation and build upon it. The sessions will emphasize the integration of breath and movement to create the mindfulness that separates yoga from other exercises. We will do this all while enjoying the sky and sun instead of ceilings and fluorescent lights: grass/earth instead of floors (feel free to venture off your mat): and the company and community of others seeking to expand their quality of life. Take your yoga outside with us every week! Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
- Gain increased body awareness and posture
- Combine traditional outdoor fitness activities with strength building exercises for increased performance
- Change up your routine to include exercise and activity utilizing resources found in the outdoors
* This is class is open to residents who live in neigbhorhoods adjacent to the new Westside Atlanta Beltline Trail. Please see ticket information for more details.
